The Wishing Well
Sun 17th February 08 | 4:00pm – 5:00p
For a band that didn’t exist 10 months ago, The Wishing Well has already begun to earn their stripes in the heartland of Australian music – clocking up over 130 live shows, having been selected as a Music Oz top 10 finalist and scoring slots at music festivals such as Queenscliff.
The Wishing Well’s music (www.myspace.com/thewishingwellb and) is an irresistible blend of folk, rock and pop. Their loyal and enthusiastic fan base draws regular comparisons to artists such as Ryan Adams, David Gray and Dave Matthews Band and The Waterboys. Led by singer/songwriter Jai Larkan (who has supported artists such as Bob Geldof, Andy White, Liam O’Maonlai and Tim Finn), The Wishing Well’s masterful song writing blends 3 part harmonies, infectious bass grooves, drumming flare and well wicked violin solos.
Their passionate live shows and irresistibly memorable songs leave fans spellbound and eagerly awaiting the completion of their debut album (due out early 2008). Acclaim for this melodic five piece continues to grow steadily as word spreads for their classic song craft and captivating live shows. I want to appreciate this great learn!! I certainly loved every little bit of it. I’ve you bookmarked your web blog to check out the new stuff you posting.
Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
