HOT on the heels of a hugely successful 10- week tour of UK and Europe, on which the band scored festival slots with the likes of David Gray, Seal, and James Morrison, The Wishing Well is now entertaining audiences in regional Victoria, ACT, NSW and Queensland
They’ll be at Sutherland Acoustic on Thursday, September 10.
Orchestral and lush, the Melbourne band produces a rich tapestry of mesmerising folk, pop and rock.
With their blend of three-part harmonies, a wistful string section, and majestic rhythms, plus lead singer Jai Larkan’s strong and haunting vocals, The Wishing Well appeals to lovers of emotive lyrics and memorable melodies.
The band comprises Jai Larkan on vocals and acoustic guitar, Sarah Busuttil, violin and vocals, Rivkah Larkan, violin, Alex Rottier, bass and vocals, and Mikey Minten on drums.
This will be The Wishing Well’s last tour before they head back into the studio to record their second full-length album.
Their first album Life On the Border did much to solidify their presence in Australia and Europe.
The band is hoping to test drive many of the songs written for the new album during this tour.
Also on the bill is Queensland duo Swoon.
